How long does it usually take for Medicaid applications to go all the way threw to where you can use it?

We applied last week about this time. because she is pregnant, I know we don't have any money. we are kind of in a ruff time financially. but she is getting to a point hoping that her medicaid will come threw. and now she's getting all depressed and stuff and I don't want to loose the baby. Please help me out. How long does it usually take for Medicaid to go from applying to receiving the card and being able to use it.
