Have you ever used a gel fireplace?

I've had one for years and it does a great job of heating up my living room. The gel gets a little pricey if you don't shop around. Some of the cheaper stuff has a slight alcohol odor but if you get a pine Insense burner and use it, it will knock down any offensive odor.
