Thermal Predator Missile MW2?

Hey everyone. I play Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360. I've noticed a few people using predators missiles have changed the colour from greyish to purple. (Just like you would using the thermal on a Chopper Gunner or AC130.) Is this a hack or is there a legitimate way to change the Predator Missile view to thermal? Thanks.
