Can i adjust the idle mixture instead of rejetting, 2006 VT1100 Shadow Sabre.?

Just added Vance & Hines long shots. Have not modified air intake. Exhaust pops at idle, runs smooth when u pull back on the throttle a hair. Can i get away with jus adjusting the idle mixture? If i need to rejet do i need to change out only the main jet or the slow jets as well??
