Why is posting a picture and asking if others think I look like my avatar a "chatting" violation?
There is no true "understanding of the rules". No matter what anyone else says, I see it every day....One person getting slapped with a violation while multiple other questions that are exactly the same stick around. All I can say is that someone got report happy with your question, reported you, and you got a violation. No, Yahoo does not actually look into these things. If that was the case, my first account wouldn't have been suspended due to the fact that I asked "Did you get what you wanted for Christmas? Did you spend time with your family?" Yes, I got suspended the day after Chistmas for asking that, yet there were HUNDREDS of questions in each category asking the same thing. Just ask and answer and don't worry about the violations or getting suspended. There's nothing that can be done to control it when Yahoo relies on "community moderation".
